Real Househelps Of Kawangware actor Onyi just like Tahidi High Omosh is wallowing in abject poverty even though he made millions from his acting stint.
Speaking during an interview with YouTuber Shiko Gitau, Onyi blamed his situation on Coronavirus pandemic. He said that he has not been able to secure an acting gig since Covid-19 struck.
“Hakuna mtu anapendanga kazi kama mimi na naweza tamani kazi. Hio kazi iko wapi sahi? Uta act na mask? Tangu Corona iingie hivi tu sisi tuliumia tu. Job ilisimama na hivyo ndo ikakua. Na kutoka hio time hadi sahi we are not doing anything. Sisi tuko tu,” Onyi lamented.
The Real Househelps Of Kawangware actor said he used to earn a living solely from his acting stint. When Covid struck he was forced to move from Umoja to Katani where he lives with his sister.
Onyi lamented that he doesn’t have any income at the moment, he said his only work now is home management and street survey – staying at home and making idle rounds in the neighborhood.
The Real Househelps Of Kawangware actor revealed that he has five children with three baby mamas. He said two of his children are in Sweden with his baby mama, one in US and another child with his wife who lives in Kisii.
Onyi said that he is not in good terms with his baby mamas because of his financial situation. He however noted that his children love him so much.
“Nko na watoto watano. Wawili nimezaa na wife wangu yuko Sweden. Na huyu mwingine ni huyu yuko Kisii then huyo mmoja ako States. Hatusikizanangi kabisa (na baby mama), si am jobless mwanaume ni pesa. Hakuna watu wananipenda kwa hii dunia kama watoto wangu, let me not lie to you,” said Onyi.
Onyi is pleading for help from leading presidential contendors Raila Odinga and William Ruto to help him and other thespians who are languishing in poverty.
