ODM leader Raila Odinga and other risks getting arrested if they step foot in Western Kenya, if threats of Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala are to go by.
Speaking in Malava Constituency, Malala threatened to arrested politicians from the ODM party if they dare try to sell their party in Western Kenya.
Malala noted that the move by Raila and his allies to sell ODM in Western was like selling an illegal drug, marijuana, to the region.
“If you come here to sell bhang, you know ODM is like bhang, we will arrest you,” Malala declared.
According to Malala, the only legitimate party in Western is the Musalia Mudavadi led-party, Amani National Congress (ANC), and any other political party was not allowed in the region.
Malala claimed that selling ODM in Western Kenya was like selling pork in Saudi Arabia in another post.
The senator was responding to comments by Sinyalu MP Justus Kizito, who noted that politicians should be allowed to sell their political agenda across the country without discrimination of their political outfit.
“I have my party, and you have your party. Let me sell my mandazi as you sell your samosa,” Kizito said.
While warning ODM against campaigning in Western, Senator Malala also asked Kakamega Governor Deputy Governor Philip Kutima to ditch ODM, claiming that Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya was using his to secure the vote of the Kabras community.
Malala also accused Oparanya of throwing him under the bus after working together to deliver for Kakamega County.
