Christine Nampeera issued a public apology following an embarrassing sex tape but that is not enough.
The Ugandan digital influencer, who is a younger sibling to renowned DJ Roja, was filmed making out with her boyfriend Barasha in a public toilet.
Christine was seen in a 3-minute video smashing Barasha in a tiny public toilet at Kenjis restaurant and bar.
Christine took to social media and apologized for her behaviour after her sex tape spread online like a wild bushfire.
“I want to apologise to my family Dj Roja, my friends, my boyfriend Mr Barasha, and my employers who have been affected by the video circulating. It was a private affair, I am sorry,” she posted on her X (previously Twitter) account.
The sex tape went viral online sparking a fierce debate as netizens discussed Christine’s behaviour.
Now a Ugandan pastor reverend Canon Aaron Mwesigwa has called for the burning of the infamous toilet on which the socialite was filmed smashing her boyfriend Barasha.
Speaking during a press conference, Canon Mwesigwa said the toilet was now cursed and should not be used by other people.
“In fact, even that toilet where that act took place should be burned down. I’m telling you the truth. The toilet where Nampeera was injected should be burnt down because it’s now cursed. Other people shouldn’t use it. Other people should not use it because if it is a toilet, other people will use it to sit on it for short or long calls,” said Canon Mwesigwa in part.
However, his sentiments, captured by Galaxy FM, were met with mixed reactions as some demanded to know if a church where some people were caught in a similar compromising situation was closed down or if religious leaders who were caught with people’s spouses had their churches burned down as well.
