Former Tahidi High actor Joseph Kinuthia aka Omosh vows that he will keep his current job claiming he is now sober after he quit drinking alcohol.
Speaking during a recent interview with a local publisher, Omosh expressed regret living his life as an alcoholic.
The veteran actor, who now earns a living as an employee in a timber yard in Kikuyu town Kiambu County, said his history with alcohol is full of regrets and every moment he spent getting high only led to folly.
Omosh claimed he managed to quit drinking after weeping profusely while pleading with God to save him from self-destruction.
“I had since stopped taking alcohol but quitting cigarettes was the problem and I prayed for one hour to God to help me break the yoke of nicotine in my life…I cried as I prayed,” he said.
Omosh said that God talked directly to him and told him that He had heard his cry.
“God told me ‘Omosh, your cry has reached me, you are redeemed’,” Omosh said.
The former Tahidi High actor stated with confidence that the urge of cigarettes and alcohol departed from completely.
“It was not about reforming to get rich but to save my soul,” he said.
Omosh further disclosed that currently he worships at the Redeemed Gospel Church in Nairobi’s Komarock estate.
