Bahati ended up with Diana Marua after NTV host Tracy Wanjiru turned him down.
The musician on October 4, 2023, narrated how Tracy Wanjiru declined his request to feature as the main video vixen on his song ‘Mapenzi’.

Fast forward to November, Tracy Wanjiru has since responded to Bahati’s claim that she turned him down.
In an interview with Nairobi News, Tracy shared her perspective on the situation.
She explained that she snubbed Bahati because she struggled to find the right way to communicate her unwillingness to participate in the project.
“I don’t remember so well, but I think when I was hosting Teen Republic, he asked me about that, and I think I was to respond to him. However, I didn’t want to do it, but I didn’t know how to tell him that I didn’t want to do it, so I ended up snubbing him,” she said.
Tracy Wanjiru nonetheless claimed that Bahati and her are still friends despite turning down his offer.
She added that she would still not want to feature in Bahati’s music videos.
“He is a friend of mine, and there is no bad blood but I wouldn’t want to feature in his music. I think where I am with my faith, there are some things I would not want to do, and that is one of those things,” Tracy said.
