Edday Nderitu and her three kids made the big move to the United States in 2023, leaving behind her husband Samidoh in Kenya. The reason for the relocation was Samidoh’s decision to also have a relationship and children with Karen Nyamu, despite being married to Edday.
After announcing her divorce from Samidoh due to his public affair with the senator Karen Nyamu, with whom he has two kids, Edday packed up and relocated her family to start a new life in the US in search of greener pastures.
In a social media post from July 2023, Edday stated she was no longer in a polygamous marriage, saying she had left her husband to “whoever needed him more.”
Despite the major life change, Edday looked stunning alongside her daughter Shirleen as they attended Shirleen’s high school prom night in the US. Prom is a formal dance held at the end of the school year for junior and senior students.
Edday and Shirleen both rocked sleek black dresses for the dance. Shirleen’s dress was perfect, and her makeup was done beautifully. The mother-daughter duo was filled with smiles in the gorgeous prom photos.
“My beautiful daughter is all grown up and shining bright! So proud of the kind, smart, and confident young woman she’s becoming. Congratulations on your pre-prom night (semi-formal), I can’t believe you’re taller than me 🙈 love you my forever princess ❤️!” She wrote on social media.
In the photos also was their family friend Bernice Saroni.
While Edday’s marriage fell apart under difficult circumstances, she appears to be making the best of her fresh start in America, devoting herself to her children.
