Former Papa Shirandula actress Kawira left her matrimonial home five years after she got married in a colourful wedding
Kawira, whose real name is Joy Karambu, got married to Ephantus Safari Wahome in a wedding ceremony held on 22nd November 2014.
The former Papa Shirandula actress, however ‘silently’ walked out of her marriage in June 2022.
She only recently revealed that her marriage crumbled while speaking during an interview on Kamuhunjia show.
“I am not married. I have been single for two years now. I said it is a wrap, and it was. I’m no longer in that relationship,” Kawira said.
“I left on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 4 pm. I still remember the date and time,” she added.
During the revelation, Kawira disclosed that she met her ex-husband in church before they started a relationship that culminated in a marriage.
Well according to the actress, her marriage couldn’t survive especially after learning new things about her partner who had kept them a secret for years.
“If you feel in your heart that you are not in the right place, please quit, don’t stay there. You will live to fight another day,” she said.
Kawira’s ex-husband is a gospel minister and musician who has released several songs and music videos.
Some of his songs include Niseme, Wimbo wa Sifa, Umeinuliwa, Safari, and Kigooco among others.
