Former Tahidi High actress Gloria Moraa, popularly known as Nyaboke Moraa, is in deep mourning following the devastating loss of her beloved daughter Marie Achieng.
The heartbreaking news was shared by fellow actress Sandra Dacha, who urged Kenyans to extend their prayers and support to Nyaboke and her family during this difficult time.
“It is with profound sadness that I announce to you the passing on of Gloria Anazidi Kuiva Moraa’s daughter. Your prayers are what she needs right now. REST IN PEACE Marrie,” Dacha wrote.
In a show of solidarity, friends and relatives have gathered at Nyaboke’s home in Syokimau to offer their comfort and condolences.
Notable visitors included celebrity police officer Sammy Ondimu, Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi, and actress Wilbroda, among others.
In a heart-wrenching social media post, Nyaboke expressed her grief and despair, even questioning her faith.
“There is no God…he can go to hell,” she lamented, revealing the profound pain she is experiencing.
Marie was the daughter of actress Nyaboke and Blak Aende, the chairman of marketing and branding agency, Pitstop.
This tragedy comes less than a year after Nyaboke endured the loss of two brothers and a niece, compounding her grief. She also faced the heartache of losing her husband, Benjamin Ayimba, a celebrated rugby coach and father of her sons, in 2021.
Gloria Nyaboke Moraa is widely recognized for her roles in the Citizen TV drama series Tahidi High and the comedy Victor Naman. In a past interview with Buzz Central, she shared her journey, revealing that she was born and raised in Kibera, Nairobi County, before moving to Utawala.
“I went to Olympic Primary School, and Larry Asego was my teacher, but we moved to Utawala when I was in Form 2, and that is where we live up to now,” she recalled, reflecting on her humble beginnings.
As the community rallies around her, Moraa’s loss is felt deeply by many, highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of support in times of sorrow.
