“Hata kama utakua unafinya dem yako!” “One day you will say my name!” Andrew Kibe promises Sauti Sol.
Former NRG radio and KISS 100 FM presenter Andrew Kibe recently shared a painful and humbling experience involving his failed attempt to meet popular Kenyan boy band, Sauti Sol.
In a video that is currently trending on social media, Kibe narrated how he reached out to the group’s manager, only to be informed that the boys had no interest in meeting him.
The exact reason behind this rejection remains unclear, as it is uncertain whether the decision was made by the manager or the members of Sauti Sol themselves. Nevertheless, Kibe took to social media to express his disappointment and reflect on the experience.
“I told the promoter that I was in town and I wanted to meet Sauti Sol. The manager said they were not interested, that they did not want to meet me now or ever,” Kibe revealed in the video.”
“I was like, what is going on in here? They are not interested. I had a humbling moment. Sometimes you might think you are a big deal, but you are not. I thought I was a big deal, but I was not,” he bitterly confesses.
In response to the incident, Kibe has made a bold promise to Sauti Sol, stating that one day, they would acknowledge his name despite pretending not to know him.
In his characteristic style, Kibe humorously suggested that Sauti Sol would eventually say his name during intimate moments with their partners, with their lovers demanding that they say his name or risk ending the encounter abruptly.
This humorous response shows Kibe’s determination to assert his worth and engage in a playful rivalry with the popular boy band for views and clout, we all know this game.
