News Anchor Catherine Kasavuli Loses Battle With Cancer 

KBC has unveiled the legendary news anchor who will replace the late Catherine Kasavuli.

Until her death, Catherine Kasavuli was a news achor with KBC after their huge rebrand to attract bigger masses to their viewership.

The celebrated anchor was hospitalised for months at Kenyatta National Hospital, where she unfortunately lost battle to cancer.

In attempts to fit her role, the National broadcaster, KBC has finally picked the legendary Fayyaz Qureishi. He will now anchor the weekend Prime bulletin ‘Legends Edition’ that Kasavuli used to anchor.

Qureishi has been in the media industry for over 20 years. The seasoned journalist joined KTN, early 1990s. He was actually a co-anchor of the evening news with the late Kasavuli.

Mr Qureishi paid a hearted sweet tribute to the late Kasavuli as her favourite news anchor during her requiem mass ceremony.

Having worked as partners for many years at KTN, the two colleagues blended very well.

“I and Kasavuli were paired up for close to 13 years until the point I left KTN in 2005, migrating to the UK,” Qureishi said.
