Karen Nyamu said she dated a mubabaz for material support before she got rich and famous.
The UDA-nominated senator opened up about dating a sponsor while speaking during an interview on Radio 47.
Karen said she got into a relationship with the sugar daddy who paid a Ksh35,000 rent for her in Westlands.
The mother of three however noted that the rent was not enough for her to sacrifice her freedom.
She explained that the sugar daddy was very controlling and limited her freedom, something that she could not tolerate for a long time.
Karen said the mubabaz only paid her rent for two months before she got tired of him controlling her life and opted to dump him.

The nominated senator noted that she dated the sponsor even after her father had warned her against allowing men to pay her rent.
