Otile Brown recently dropped a rap song titled Wasted which has seen him face a backlash on social media.
In one of the comments, a netizen told him to reconsider his old days when his music captivated audiences.
The netizen said that the songs he was singing currently were disadvantaging him.
“Right now you are singing for yourself and fellow g*ys. Sasa what’s popping ni nini,” read the comment.
Responding to the comment, the singer however noted that the old days are gone. He urged the netizen to free his mind and also desist from insulting him as his point can be understood without insults.
“You can make your point be heard bila matusi. It’s okay not to agree with me,” Otile Brown said.
In a separate address to critics, he wondered why people were complaining saying creativity has no boundaries.
“Why are you complaining? I didn’t even have you in mind while doing this. I am just having fun. Not every song is meant for you. We know your taste are the same. This is not the business of tomatoes its a talent and there are times we just show creativity ‘art.’ Creativity has has no boundaries,” he said.
He further noted that he has never released a bad song.
“Sijawahikutoa wimbo mbaya na haitawahikutokea. Nikituoa song na haujaipenda ni wewe tu ndio hujaelewa aupengine hujaipa nafasi. Ukweli naamini unaujua,” he said
“It’s not pride it’s the belief and hard work. Can you bet your life on what you are doing coz I can.”
