From A Flourishing Artist To A Hounding Scandal And Diminishing Fame: 5 Things That Cost Miss P

Miss Picasah aka Miss P became a household name in the Kenyan entertainment industry in January 2021 when Willy Paul introduced her as a new and first ever female signee under his recording label, Saldido.

She however left the label and in  around September 2021, in an explosive interview, she revealed that the Saldido owner sexually assaulted her multiple times.

“He forced me to have sex with him, not once not twice. I had to tell my mum because I had to get medical attention. -I had to seek held and my mum helped me Alhamdulillah, otherwise at this very moment ningekua nimesha jifungua or I would be nine months pregnant,” she told Presenter Ali.

In November the same year Willy Paul introduced Queen P as Miss P’s replacement while taking a swipe at his former first female signee.

In April 2023, Miss P came out to the public asking Willy Paul for forgiveness over the rape allegations saying she acted on impulse.

Willy Paul forgave her opting not to take a legal action as he had been advised. They seemingly rekindled their relationship but in July 2023, Willy Paul announced that all was not well between him and Miss P.

““No Pain No Gain, Look At That  Btw I’ll Give a Mature Update About Me And Miss P. Nikama Vitu Haziko Sawa But Tunaheshimiana,” he said.

Miss P on the other hand took to social media to reveal that she had quit secular music.

“If it’s God’s will to minister using my gift of singing He’ll make it happen in His perfect time,” she said then.

She however disappeared from the limelight until recently when she confirmed that she had completely turned her life to Christ.

“I’ve been walking in the wilderness with the Lord. God took me out of Egypt and now where I have been  is him taking Egypt out of me,” she told Nicholas Kioko.

She’s not yet a pastor but said maybe that is what God is preparing her for.

While speaking out to Kioko, Miss P addressed the sexual assault issue as well as her new life, vowing to never speak about her past again. In between, she pointed out where she went wrong in her life, things that saw her go through challenging situations.

1. Backsliding

The talented musician admitted that all her life, she had dedicated her life to God such that she earned the title Bishop Wambui while in primary School.

She however backslid somewhere along the way hence her appearance in secular music. Miss P has now rebranded to Miss Princessa completely leaving her past behind. Her new brand will now speak of decency, glorify God, her personal life and experiences and so on.

2. Bringing to light something private

According to Miss P, it was a mistake for her to bring the rape topic to the public, because she is not the type of a person to let people in her personal life.

“I have to accept that I can’t go back in time and reverse what I did. There is a reason for everything, I sought that reason and found that I was chosen to be a voice  to the voiceless in this very sensitive issue,” she explained.

3.Being naive

Naivety is another thing that cost Miss P as many people took advantage of her

“I was a very scared, confused little girl, so innocent and naive and so many people took advantage of that,” she said.

She has however been able to overcome that after a long reflection and allowing God’s intervention.

“I’ve worked towards being that woman God purposed me to be. Not weak and silent but bold and vocal about real issues affecting real people,” she said.

She added that she is still healing, acknowledging the fact that it was the first time she became self-aware in her life

4. Allowing wrong people to lead her off track

While admitting that she was certain with the direction she wants her life to take, Miss P hinted that she previously allowed wrong people in her life who led her astray.

“I’m never allowing the wrong people to lead me off track,” she affirmed. “Before you approach my territory you know exactly who you will be dealing with.”

5. Being oblivious of her introduction to the spotlight

Miss Princessa, as she is now known, said that she was oblivious about her introduction to the limelight, adding that it was all a puppet show.

“My input was not welcomed, everything(spotlight) was so overwhelming for a reserved person like me,I hated imagine that the fame and fortune would turn me into this unrecognisable version of me, it drove me crazy” she said.

“I became impulsive and made unwise decisions,” she added.
