First Child At 39: Actress Mama Baha Opens Up About Her Struggle With Infertility

Machachari actress Wanjiku Mburu alias Mama Baha struggled to conceive for many years, she even gave up on having her own child.

Mama Baha tried getting pregnant in vain and as years passed her wasn’t getting any younger, hope of having her own child kept fading.

In 2018, the actress fasted and prayed hard earnestly asking God to give her child and she was promised one.

She was expecting her first child in a few months after the intense fasting and praying.

“A boy and a girl. I was like, okay, let me wait, two years later, I had not even found someone,” Mama Baha said during an interview with Mpasho.

However, her prayer was only answered three years later in mid 2021 when she discovered that she was pregnant.

“When I learnt I was pregnant, I was surprised because it’s been a while and I even had no thought of being pregnant. I am born again, in 2018, I purposed to go away and pray about my life because spirituality is very important,” said Mama Baha.

She added that;

“To tell you the truth, I was not convinced. It was a good surprise, I told God sorry for doubting. I have been looking and I love children, I was dealing with children all along but not my own. I started acting with my young Milly at the age of 6 months. I have also been brought up in a family set up and children is something I wanted to have, but I said, in case I don’t have, it is still okay.”

The 39-year-old actress is set to give birth to her first child in a few months to come.
