Johnson Karuga aka DJ KQ was on his way home when he was confronted by his killer who robbed him of his money and other valuables.
DJ KQ was headed home to Lucky Summer estate, Kasarani when he was accosted by an armed thug.
According to area residents, the mix master resisted when the thug demanded that he hands over his phone.
“The man was heading his way when the suspect approached him demanding that he hands over his phone. When this did not happen, he drew a knife from the pocket and stabbed him,” one resident said.
The attacker then escaped on foot with DJ KQ’s phone.
The deejay was rushed to hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
Police who visited the scene of crime recovered a blood-stained knife suspected to have been used to commit the murder.
Confirming the incident, Kasarani police boss said the attack was being investigated and that no arrest had been made.
