DJ Brownskin has made a social media comeback, weeks after he faced backlash for recording and watching as his wife, Sharon Mwangi, committed suicide.
The controversial DJ took to his Insta stories with a cryptic quote that talked about those who were quick to judge without hearing the other side of the story.
“Anybody that believes lies about you before hearing your side of the story was already looking for a way to be against you,” the father of two shared.
Many Kenyans considered DJ Brownskin a heartless man after he did nothing to save his wife yet their children were also present.
Some said that he would have at least stopped her from drinking the poisonous substance or even rushed her to hospital in time instead of him sitting on the couch and recording the whole incident.
Others, including Andrew Kibe, defended him, saying he should not be blamed for his wife’s actions and that the video saved him from being accused of murder.
Kibe said that were it him, he would have recorded the incident with a high density camera.
“It was a big deal the whole day. This video has surfaced from 2022 July and everybody is like there is something wrong with DJs. DJs are just something else, we need to have that conversation. I am like then what is your verdict you internet police, internet judges, internet prosecutors.
“The first voice is the one which directs the conversation so if somebody says that the DJ was wrong and everybody comes there just like the Idiot you are and you just continue Kalambistic kanafwata tu ‘what the DJ did was wrong’. The internet does not exist. It is here in your head,” the podcaster said in a video uploaded on YouTube.
