Daddy Owen Explains Why He Is No Longer Seen With Charlene Ruto As Frequently As Before

Daddy Owen has responded to claims that the first daughter Charlene Ruto and him are distant and are no longer together like before.

The two previously sparked dating rumors as they often collaborated in events and cahrity works.

The climax of it all was when Charlene visited Daddy Owen’s rural home in Kakamega County in December 2023, where she met his mother and other relatives. The event was deemed as an introduction ceremony, which is one of the crucial processes for a formal marriage.

In an interview with Ankali Ray, Daddy Owen however downplayed claims that the two are distant adding that it is only because he decided to live a private life.

“She talks everyday. I see her posting on social media everyday. Everybody has their life. I can’t talk about someone else’s life. It is not good. Maybe you ask the question if we are together. If I talk about someone who is not present that is gossiping,” the gospel singer said.

“I decided to be a very private person because at a point the gossip was too much. I decided to keep my life private. Is there any wrong with that?” he posed.

Daddy Owen also declined to give details about Charlene’s visit to his rural home.

“Talking about someone who is not present is disrespect,” he said.

Ankali was however persistent with the questioning, asking how often he meets Charlene in a week and whether he has feelings for her.

Daddy Owen however laughed when the ‘Feelings question’ popped and proceeded to say, “Siweziongelea mtu, we niulize mambo ya mziki wangu, Foundation yangu, career yangu.”
