Catherine Kamau is dating Tribe Hotel’s General Manager Michael Mwangi after her marriage failed.
Mwangi’s distinctive full beard became a subject of playful teasing on social media, with fans humorously dubbing Catherine a “ndevu worshipper,” a reference to her boyfriend’s prominent facial hair.
The mother of two recently responded to Kenyans making fun of her sweetheart’s beards.
“Ati mmeniita Ndevu worshiper? Sawa tu na niliwawuooooon! Mmebaki side gani? Ya, cereals ama cabbage? Na Msituroge aki,” she wrote.
Catherine Kamau and Michael Mwangi have been making public appearance together for a while now.
The two lovebirds attended comedian Terence Creative’s Wash Wash 4 movie premiere and a Sol Fest event in November 2023.
Reports from anonymous sources at Tribe Hotel suggest that their relationship has been ongoing for a while, with Kate being a frequent visitor before it became public knowledge.
Catherine Kamau parted ways with Philip Karanja after five years of marriage.
The two jointly announced the end of their marriage in a statement issued on September 19, 2023.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the two stated.
Kamau and Karanja got married in a beautiful ceremony at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on November 18, 2017.
The two have a daughter named Njeri who was born on the 15th of December 2019.
Kamau, however, has an elder son named Leon who she gave birth to during her teenage years.
