“Fanya mziki acha kucopy nyimbo za wenyewe,” an Instagram user told Bahati.
The artist’s new song Huyu has been taken down from YouTube.
This is after a Tanzanian producer, Genious JiniX66 complained of copyright infringement.
Jinix66 is Jay Melodie’s producer.
Bahati accused the producer of being malicious. He added that the song was taken down when it was trending at number 2..
“ANOTHER ATTACK FROM TANZANIA… WHO IS GENIUS JINI X66??? HE MALICIOUSLY DELETED MY SONG #HUYU FROM YOUTUBE NO.2 ON TRENDING,” the artist shared on Instagram.
A section of netizens have however told off Bahati about the allegations with some claiming that he was chasing clout as others noted that he has been copying songs from foreign artists.
“Lkn all your songs have the same melody and key…Finds it hard to listen to your songs coz you can’t differentiate a 2018 song and 2023,” read a comment from David Sling
“If I say this is clout chasing will I be wrong guys?” Jessea Bisheck said.
“fanya mziki acha kucopy nyimbo za wenyewe 😂😂😂😂😂uko na bahati modi haezi kustaki coz umecopy everything,” another netizen commented.

In June this year, the father of five faced a similar plight when his song with Rwandese singer Bruce Melodie, Diana, was pulled down from YouTube by Ziiki muisc distributors.
Bahati took to social media to share his frustrations, accusing Ziiki of hacking his YouTube channel.
“Dear Bahati fans. Ziiki media has illegally hacked my Youtube channel and deleted my song Diana featuring Rwanda’s Bruce Melodie. Ziiki media are fraudsters. Dear Kenyan Government this is Where we are getting our Taxes… Help Us Deal with this Fraudsters!!! VERY SAD!!!” he said.
The standoff between both parties was solved and the song was returned to YouTube.
Bahati was also accused of sampling Fanda Na yo, a Congolese song, in his collaboration with DK Kwenye Beat titled Fanya Mambo.
His song Wanani was also once pulled down from YouTube due to copyright claims.
