South African music performer, rapper and Amapiano star, Costa Titch has died.
With tracks like “Big Flexa,” “Nkalakatha,” and “Activate,” Titch became well-known for his influence to the Amapiano genre.
Costa Tsobanoglou, reportedly passed out on stage on Saturday, March 12, 2023, during the Ultra music festival.
Just before midnight, entertainment analyst Phil Mphela announced Costa Titch’s death on Twitter, and numerous sorrowful messages from colleagues in the industry ensued.
The 27-year-old was performing on stage when he fell to the ground while singing one of his songs, according to videos that went viral on social media on Saturday night.
He soon stood back up thanks to his security, proceeded to perform, but then fell again and didn’t get back to his feet this time.
Numerous people could be seen dashing and reaching out to assist him.
The cause of his death hasn’t been officially confirmed as of yet.
His passing on comes exactly one month after the shooting killing in Durban of another SA tapper, Kiernan Forbes alias AKA.
Costa just signed a contract with Akon’s record label, Konvict Kulture.
