“These are side shows out of malice and stupid threats!” Akothee rants as she promises to go all out tonight.
Akothee, known for her unapologetic and bold personality, has taken to social media to address a pressing matter.
In her message, she issued a warning to politicians who use her images for political purposes without her consent.
Akothee, often referred to as the “President of Singer Mothers” due to her powerful activism for women declared that she would now charge a marketing fee to politicians and political forums that use her photos without her permission.
She emphasized that her image is her livelihood and should not be exploited carelessly for political gain.
In her statement seen by Kenyareports.com, she made it clear that her new policy was intended to protect her brand and the value of her image.
Akothee urged politicians to use their budgets to promote their projects and engage in marketing campaigns, rather than resorting to using her image without consent.
She says, “From today If you post any of my photos on your political forums without my consent,You will have to pay for marketing fee. My image is my bread and butter, you won’t use it carelessly for your own political ambitions. If you have any project you need to be marketed and for the people of Migori to know what is available for us , where the facilities that will benefit them is found, then we shall drop you our rate card you all have enough budgets. Akothee’s message also pointed out the irony that even if Kenyan politicians were to emulate Nigerian counterparts who have private jets, they wouldn’t be as successful as they hope to be.
She emphasized that the political arena in Kenya is vastly different from that of Nigeria and using her image carelessly wouldn’t lead to success, but instead, it amounts to a futile “side show” out of malice.
