Akothee recently addressed a topic that’s had fans buzzing for months: her breakup with Nelly Oaks and her subsequent marriage to Denis Schweizer, aka Omosh.
In a candid interview with The Nairobian, Akothee was asked why she ended her relationship with Nelly Oaks and chose to marry Omosh last year.

“People think that I left him. Nelly is a cheerful person. Why do you think I’m the one who left him? For us celebrities, we don’t put everything on camera,” Akothee said, shedding light on the privacy she maintains in her personal life despite being in the public eye.
The mother of five went on to describe how Nelly Oaks had been by her side through some of her darkest moments, including helping her cope with depression and guiding her through the breakup with Omosh.
“He has been there for me. He is the man who created this brand and walked me through depression three times out of four. He took care of me,” she revealed.
As for her previous marriage to Omosh, Akothee referred to their April 2023 wedding as merely a “rehearsal.” She hinted at a grander ceremony on the horizon with Nelly Oaks, the man she now calls her true love.
“It was a practice, the wedding is coming right now. I’m going to marry the man of my dreams. I am in a stable relationship at the moment,” Akothee teased, adding with her trademark humor, “but I also need a chance to be disappointed because Pharaoh’s sons can show you dust.”
In recent months, Akothee has been dropping hints about an upcoming lavish wedding with Nelly Oaks, reigniting interest in their relationship.
The two have been openly sharing their love on social media, especially after Akothee’s separation from Omosh last year.
Fans were treated to a more intimate look at their romance when Akothee referred to Nelly as “babe” during a TikTok live session, and Nelly reciprocated by calling her someone special.
