Actress Gloria Nyaboke Moraa has bravely shared her struggles in the realm of romance, attributing her challenges to the untimely passing of her late partner, rugby coach Benjamin Ayimba.
In a poignant and revealing social media post, Nyaboke opened up about how his death not only left her heartbroken but seemingly jinxed her love life.
“Sina nyota ya wanaume wa hapa (I have no luck with men here), she lamented, expressing her deep sense of loss and the void Ayimba’s absence has created in her pursuit of love.
Since his passing, Nyaboke has found it increasingly difficult to find a lasting connection, stating that she longs for the genuine affection and care that once defined her relationship with Ayimba.
“He was truly the one for me. After he left us, love feels like it just stopped flowing,” she shared, reflecting on their bond.
Her words echoed with the weight of her experience, illustrating how the loss of her partner had a far-reaching impact that extended beyond personal grief to an apparent curse in her romantic endeavors.
Nyaboke’s relationship with Ayimba was complex and deeply intertwined in both love and legal battles.
She got married to Ayimba in 2012 as his fourth wife and they were blessed with two children together.
Despite their initial happiness, their marriage faced turmoil, culminating in a court case in 2018 where she accused Ayimba of abandoning their family and failing to provide for their children.
The heartbreaking tragedy of Ayimba’s death in May 2021 from cerebral malaria left Nyaboke grappling not only with loss but also with the altered landscape of her life.
“It feels like all my chances with men disappeared with him,” she reflected, underscoring the sense of hopelessness she now feels in navigating her romantic future.
