Shakib Cham Lutaaya, a prominent Ugandan businessman and the estranged husband of socialite Zari Hassan, has raised alarm over a wave of fraudsters capitalizing on his predicament to scam unsuspecting individuals out of their money.
In a stark message to his fans, Shakib highlighted that certain individuals are posing as him or his representatives, falsely claiming he requires financial assistance after Zari ghosted him.
Shakib firmly stated that he does not need any monetary support from anyone and advised the public to be vigilant against these scams.
“Important information! Please know that Shakib Cham does not need financial support from anyone. There may be fake pages or individuals claiming to be Shakib Cham or his representatives asking for money. Don’t fall victim to this scam!” he emphasized.
He further cautioned, “Be careful and don’t donate or send money to anyone claiming to represent them,” revealing a troubling trend that has emerged.
This warning comes on the heels of a public spat with his wife, Zari Hassan, who had recently criticized Shakib, alleging that he is not contributing positively to their marriage.
During a heated live session earlier this month, the mother of five voiced her frustrations, suggesting that Shakib’s insecurities about their relationship are causing significant tension.
Zari boldly declared that she had to clarify her stance regarding her past relationship with musician Diamond Platnumz, in response to her husband’s concerns over her co-parenting relationship with him.
“Let me tell you something, if I want to return to Diamond, I can return. If Diamond wants to come back to me, he can come back. But we are done. We are completely done with each other. I don’t want him,” she asserted emphatically.
Zari also emphasized that Shakib needs to work on his confidence regarding their marriage if they are to have a successful and lasting relationship.
The 43-year-old socialite nonetheless warned Shakib to style up or she would dump him.
Ever since their public spat, Zari, who resides in South Africa, has blocked Uganda-based Shakib from visiting her.
Zari’s decision to leave Shakib out in the cold has attracted criticism from some people who accuse her of using and dumping her estranged husband.
