In a surprising twist amidst recent separation, DJ Mo has opened up about the foundations of his marriage with Size 8, which has endured for over a decade.
The revelation comes just two weeks after Size 8 suggested that she was embarking on life without her husband.
During an appearance on TV47’s ‘Love in the Wild’ (which is pre-recorded meaning it happened before Size 8 announced their separation) DJ Mo shared that he and Size 8 have established a unique boundary regarding their phones.
“We never listen to each other. I never tell him to stay with you because sometimes there are many misunderstandings. You may be sitting like this and then someone calls, so you find yourself not wanting to express yourself further; who is that, what are you doing… so we agreed to stay,” he shared.
DJ Mo elaborated that every couple has their own compromises in a marriage, yet he emphasized that the phone policy has been particularly beneficial for them.
“My wife and I agreed that she stays with her phone and I stay with mine,” he stated. “Not because of anything or because someone is hiding something, but because of trying to avoid talking too much.”
Size 8 recently made headlines by declaring her alleged single status after 11 years of marriage to DJ Mo.
Via her Instagram story, the mother of two reflected on her journey, stating, “Sometimes marriage works by God’s grace, and sometimes it does not, but all in all, God is still on the throne!!!”
She further commented, “I’ve been married for 11 years, and now I start the journey of singlehood. But God is still on the throne; I worship you, Yahweh.”
The public response to Size 8’s announcement has been mixed, with many questioning whether this is the end of her marriage or simply a moment of publicity.
