Kalonzo Musyoka Not A Land Grabber As Claimed By DP Ruto

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally been cleared of allegation of land grabbing following a probe in acquisition of his Yatta land.

In a letter confirming his clearance, Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) George Kinoti dismissed claims that Kalonzo had grabbed land belonging to the National Youth Service (NYS) located in Machakos County.

“The subject property is privately owned by Pastev holdings limited after buying from a company known as Betraco limited it is therefore established that the property mentioned above is legally owned by Pastev holdings limited,” the letter by DCI read.

The letter added that, “The National Youth Service alleged to be the legitimate owners of the subject property categorically stated that they have no bonafide proprietary ownership interest of the same at all.”

Kalonzo  was accused of grabbing the 200-acres of land  belonging to NYS by Deputy President William Ruto in January.

He defended himself against the claims while accusing Ruto of owning lots of property illegally. Musyoka challenged Ruto to appear before the DCI in order to shed light on land grabbing claims he lodged against him.

Addressing the media in Karen, the wiper leader said that his legal team is consulting on the action to take against Ruto over the false claims.

Kalonzo lashed out at Ruto as he listed what he claimed were properties that the DP acquired illegally.

He also called upon Kenyans to avoid voting for people who have been involved in corruption scandals noting that that the future of the country would be at stake in the years to come.

“Today the DP owns five high-end helicopters piloted by white captains with an exclusive grabbed hanger at Wilson Airport. The ADC land in Laikipia was grabbed by William Ruto and must revert back to the State,” Kalonzo said.

“He also took a loan at AFC to irregularly obtain land that belonged to the former Vice President, this land is actually village land in Kilgoris. The National Land Commission made a finding that Weston Hotel sits on land belonging to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority,” the Wiper leader added.
