Winnie Odinga is recuperating in hospital after undergoing surgery on her foot.
Raila Odinga’s youngest daughter suffered an injury during the East Africa Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games 2023 in Rwanda.
The EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games took place in Kigali from December 8 to 19.
Winnie was representing the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Inter-Parliamentary games in Rwanda.
Raila’s youngest daughter, who is a member of EALA which sits in Arusha, Tanzania, ruptured her Achilles tendon during the Inter-Parliamentary games in Kigali.
Winnie took to social media to talk about her injury following concerns about her whereabouts.
The EALA member disclosed that she underwent surgery following the injury she suffered on her ankle.
Winnie further explained her injuries and told her fans that she would be low key for a while as she recovers.
“Some of you have been asking why I’ve been quiet. I ruptured my Achilles tendon during the IPG in Rwanda. I’m all good after surgery but I’ll be low key for a bit,” Winnie Odinga wrote.
