New details have just emerged about what DJ Brownskin did to his late wife Sharon Njeri before she passed away.
Michael Macharia, popularly known as DJ Brownskin, was arrested and charged after police completed investigations into his connection with the death of his wife who died by suicide.
The arrest came after a video that went viral in April 2023 where DJ Brownskin was seen recording his wife as she drank poison.
Brownskin was on Monday, June 12, 2023, arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts.
The embattled mix master denied three charges of aiding suicide, neglect to prevent a felony and destroying evidence by deleting the videos he had uploaded on his social media regarding the suicide incident at their Kariobangi South house in July 2022.
Court documents have now shown that DJ Brownskin helped his wife by counselling her to take poison. Further, the court documents have shown that DJ Brownskin did not try to stop his wife from taking her own life, but he continued to ask her to take the poison.
This are bad news for DJ Brownskin because it is illegal in the country to aid someone in committing suicide. This might cause the court to jail him for his actions in not stopping Njeri from taking poison.
After denying the charges on Monday, DJ Brownskin urged the court to release him on reasonable bail terms saying he will abide by all conditions set by the court.
The court heard that the DJ has been in custody for more than a week as police complete investigations into the mat-ter.
The Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina, however, detained DJ Brownskin for three days pending a pre-bail report from the probation officers.
