Diana Marua Seen Crying In Pain As Doctors Inject Anesthetic Into Her Spine (Full Delivery Video)

Diana Marua has finally shared the full video that documented her delivery process – starting from when she went to the hospital to the operating room where she gave birth.

The most captivating scene in the video was when she was seen crying in pain as doctors administered an anesthetic to her spine.

For Cesarean delivery (C-section) which Diana Marua underwent, the anesthesiologist injects medication into the spinal fluid through a needle inserted in the lower back – a very painful process as two operating room nurses had to hold Bahati’s wife in the right position to allow the doctor to do his work as Diana reeled in excruciating pain.

The pain medication injected is typically a combination of an opiate and a local anaesthetic.

After the medication is administered, the needle is removed. The relief from pain is immediate and lasts from an hour and a half to three hours.

The anaesthetic makes pregnant woman to be numb from their abdomen to their legs and feel no pain when doctors make surgical incisions in the abdomen and uterus to get the baby out.

Watch how Diana underwent the procedure in the video below:
