“You Think Running Govt Is Like Running A Kiosk?” KRG Takes Aim at Gen Z Protesters

Kenyan dancehall star KRG the Don has sparked controversy with his recent social media posts, where he expressed his discontent with the ongoing protests by Gen Z.

The artist took to social media to condemn the demonstrations, stating that the young protesters think running government is as easy as running a kiosk.

KRG argued that Gen Z should give the government time to work and allow businesspeople to make a living.

“Most of Gen Z doesn’t even know where their fathers live, and they’re here advising someone who has been in government since they were in their 30s,” he said.

The artist also emphasized the importance of respecting those who are older and more experienced.

“If you think you can run the government better, let’s link up in 2027 and don’t forget to vie!! Respecting people who are older than you is very important, sometimes even if they are wrong, find a better way to address them,” he advised.

KRG’s comments have sparked a heated debate online, with many Gen Z protesters defending their right to express themselves and demand change.

The artist’s criticism has been met with pushback from many who feel that his comments are out of touch with the concerns and frustrations of younger generations.

As the debate continues, one thing is clear: KRG’s words have sparked a much-needed conversation about power, age, and representation in Kenya’s political landscape.
