“Yesu Animalize Kama Nasema Uongo” Pastor Mackenzie’s Mother On Her Son Being A Cult Leader

Anastacia Mwele, the mother of Malindi cult leader Paul Mackenzie, has insisted that her son is innocent of the crimes that he is being accused of.

According to her, those accusing Mackenzie are his partners who have conspired against him.

“It is painful how they are troubling my son and calling him a murderer. It is true he is not a murderer. All those conspiring against him are his partners, they are hiding,” the elderly woman said in an interview with NTV.

Mwele added that Mackenzie closed his church to concentrate on farming. She also noted that his teachings were focused on Christianity and he was a role model, kind and incapable of killing.

“Since he closed down his church, I have never heard any problem only for me to hear from people that Mackenzie is doing this. If he is a murderer, I am his mother why didn’t begin with me. I have not visited the place(Shakahola). His preachings were centered on Christ. How can I tell you not to eat until you die, will you accept?” the distraught mother posed.

“I am not defending him, but he is not a killer. If I am lying, I stand before God, Christ himself, I don’t want to see tomorrow. May Jesus finish me. They just want him to be jailed. My son has no problem,” she further said.

Mackenzie’s brother on the other hand said that the bodies being exhumed might be from people who lived in Shakahola long time ago.

“I don’t see any crime that Mackenzie committed. But if they will find him guilty, then it is there law,” the brother said.

Mackenzie is said to have urged his congregants to fast to death so that they can meet their creator. Aside from that, he discouraged them from accessing education and health services among other extreme religious teachings.
