Enock Bella narrated how he found himself in Kenya after Yamoto band broke up and everyone went their separate ways.
In a press conference, Bella said that Mbosso and him were the last people to leave after Aslay and Beka Flavor got deals and even moved out of the house where they were staying.
After being left alone, Enock and Mbosso made a vow to remain together as they tried forging a new path for their music careers.
However, Mbosso secured a one-in-a-lifetime deal when he was signed by Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi record label.
Enock was left alone which made him feel that Mbosso had betrayed their vow to some extent.
“Mbosso could have made me also join Wasafi. Because you know, Yamoto Band when everyone decided to go do their own thing, Mbosso and I remained. So now the promise that Mbosso and I had made to each other is that wherever we go, be it me or him, wherever he enters I must be there and wherever I enter he must be there. That was the agreement between Mbosso and I!” Bella said.
But Enock also did not blame Mbosso for failing to join Wasafi alongside him. He understood that Mbosso didn’t have a say over who joins the lucrative label.
“Mbosso I cannot speak badly of him because the management of Wasafi is not his. He is also just an artiste. If he was one of the leaders, I would not have failed to join the label. He is an artiste like me, so his authority is only to work.”
So when Mbosso joined Wasafi, Enock was left alone and had to struggle alone to make it but the music industry in Tanzania was not giving him a chance and so he decided to travel to Kenya.
“That is the reason why I left for Kenya to try my luck there. I see now why Bongo, when I enter everyone pushes me aside. Everyone tells me let’s talk later,” Enock said.
In Kenya it was easy at first when he landed in Mombasa but later he found a good Samaritan who advised him to go to Nairobi where he said his life got a fresh start.
“After arriving in Nairobi, it became my biggest opportunity, I did a lot of things, big interviews, and it was exhausting for me until I started making videos and saw that now it’s better,” Enock said.
