Willy Paul has crowned himself King of East African music after his song “You” featuring Guchi viral report.
Pozze, whose real name is Wilson Abubakar Radido, is a former Kenyan gospel musician who switched to produce what is regarded as secular music. He’s also a very talented songwriter, and performer and arguably one of the best hit makers in Kenya for many years now.
He started his music career over 10 years ago, and rose to prominence with his hit single “Sitolia” in 2012, featuring Gloria Muliro.
He has since released several other popular songs, including “Malingo,” “I Do,”, “Jigi Jigi”, “Toto” and many others. He has won several awards for his music, including the Groove Awards Artiste of the Year award twice.
Over the years, Pozze has been the subject of controversy due to his style of music, which some critics feel deviates from the traditional gospel music.
He has also been criticized for his stage performances, which some people consider inappropriate for a gospel artist when he still identified as a gospel ministry singer.
Despite the controversies, Willy Paul remains one of the most popular musicians in Kenya, with a large following on social media.
Over the years, he has attempted to level up and challenge Diamond Platnumz, who is considered the most popular and successful musician from East Africa.
He has also collaborated with other African musicians, including Alaine from Jamaica and Nandy from Tanzania.
Pozze has proclaimed himself the King of music in East Africa, while taunting Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz’s famous moniker, “Simba.”
