Lulu Hassan is a renown Swahili news anchor, currently working for Royal media Services, under Citizen TV.

She is also into the film industry and together with her husband Rashid Abdallah, they are the brains behind Jiffy Pictures, a company that has produced popular Swahili films such as Maria and Sultana.

With success in both media and film, it has now emerged that Lulu might be intrested in a political seat. She has however not said anything about this ambition, but her close followes suspect that she is preparing her way to the ballot in 2027.

Netizens are suggesting that she will be vying for an elective seat in Mombasa.

1. Videos of campaign materials
There are videos of tshirts branded with Lulu’s image with the slogan ‘Mama Mvita.,  Some are speculating that she maybe eyeing the Mvita MP seat. Others however think she will be going for the Women Rep seat

2. Her foundation
The Swahili news anchor is running a foundation known as Lulu ya Jamii, which is involved with philanthrophy. Lulu has been making hospital visits and helping the needy. She has also been engaging in activities that mean well for the people.

3. The type of events and functions she has been attending
Lately, Lulu has been working a lot with organizations and communities. With her involvement with the parties, Kenyans speculate that she is campaigning for herself indirectly.

Should she join politics, Lulu would be following in the footsteps of other Media and Communications individuals such as Alfred Mutua,who is currently the Labour CS, Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Mohammed Ali, Jalang’o among others.
