Rally driver Maxine Wahome and the late Asad Khan ‘Kalulu’ were lovers. He died after a fatal incident at their apartment.
Maxine Wahome’s destiny will be revealed next week after the police inquiry into Asad’s death is completed.
Police have ended their investigations into legendary rally driver Maxine Wahome, who under investigations in connection with the death of her lover, renowned rally driver Asad Khan after an argument at their apartment.
Maxine, is out on Sh100,000 cash bail. She escorted police to their house where the fatal incident happened for buffing of the apartment and extraction of evidence in the case.
Police officers confiscated two phones from Asad’s bedroom, a shoe, and fragments of broken glass from the broken window from the house’s balcony for forensic analysis at the Government Lab from their residence at Preston Court Apartment in Kileleshwa Estate.
Only Maxine, lawyer Kimathi, Asad’s relative, and a number of police investigators entered the apartment where Maxine resided with the deceased.
Adil Khan, the deceased’s brother, waited in a car outside the apartment. He did not go to his fallen brother’s house.
It was reported that, on December 11, 2022, Maxine went to a party with her sister and arrived back at their apartment intoxicated in the early hours of December 12, 2022. An argument erupted, leading to an altercation with Asad which escalated.
Asad was severely injured during the fight with his girlfriend Maxine.
Asad died on December 18, 2022, after days of fighting for his life inside a HDU after the fatal incident.
The investigations have moved from serious harm after the death of Asad, who was buried in an emotive send-off at the Kariokor Muslim Cemetry on December 19.
Following Asad’s death, the DPP will make a judgment on the next steps.
Maxine will appear in court on January 12, 2023.
