Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu married his first wife Marya Prudence in a colourful wedding ceremony held on May 5, 2017.
Raburu and Marya however didn’t last long as the two broke up and went their separate ways just three years after their wedding.
The nasty breakup was announced to the public sometime in May 2020.
Raburu opened up about his failed marriage while speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo on September 6, 2022.
The Citizen TV presenter revealed that he initiated the divorce process, saying that they resolved everything in court.
“All respect to her. We resolved everything in court and we broke up well. I’m fine” he said, how it went,” he said.
Raburu, however, admitted that he separating from his ex-wife was a very painful affair.
“It was so painful. It’s not something I would wish on anyone. Nobody goes into a marriage expecting to get out. Sometimes we lose ourselves,” he said.
The Citizen TV presenter also confessed that he had a hand in the breakup of his marriage. However, he did not reveal the real reason why his marriage hit rock bottom.
“Sometimes I forgot myself a little. I lost myself and lost my feelings. That led to other things that eventually separated us,” he said.
