Diamond Platnumz was forced to step out to protect his mother
Sanura Sandra Kassim alias Mama Dangote from trolls who were ripping her apart.
The attack on Mama Dangote came as a result of the recent speculations about Diamond getting married and settling down in marriage.
Diamond and family have been fanning speculations that the singer is finally wedding the love of his life. However up to date it’s not clear if the singer is dating or married.
Trolls have been attacking Diamond’s mother saying she controls her son and even chooses for him who he will marry in an apparent arranged marriage.
Diamond came out to strongly defend his mother from the allegations while speaking during an interview with BBC Swahili.
He stressed that his mother can’t choose for him who he will marry, the Bongo singer further noted that arranged marriage is an archaic tradition that has no place in modern times.
Diamond also lamented that trolls were disrespecting his mother by unnecessarily attacking her.
”Kwanza wanamkosea sana heshima mama yangu, kwa umri wote huu mama yangu hawezi nipangia mtu wa kuoa hayo maisha yashapita zamani sana ya mzazi kukupangia wewe umuoe nani au usimuoe nani, mama yangu hawezi kunipangia,” said Diamond.
