Vera Sidika has been giving fans a glimpse of her vacation with her children in Mombasa, Kenya.
In one of posts shared on her daughter’s Instagram account, Vera and her children visited an animal park, where they were able to see giraffes and even ostriches.
Her daughter was fascinated by giraffes and wanted to touch and play them but she wasn’t allowed by Kenya Wildlife Services officials.
“I was so sad cause wasn’t allowed to touch and play with the giraffes. People say I’m very courageous and confident. Are they right,” read the caption of the video.

For haters and naysayers, their concentration was however not on the minor’s surrounding and activities but on her skin colour, and they didn’t fall short of sharing their thoughts. Vera, who is evidently the one managing her daughter’s account, didn’t just sit back to watch strangers bashing her daughter as she gave them a dose of their own medicine. “Ki-hater chenyewe duuh, mfuko ya mamake original,” Vera hit back.
Another netizen said,”Yaani mtoto aliamua atoke na real colour ya mum.”
“Yes napenda tena sana my melanin,” read the response to the comment.
“So who is Asia’s father jameni?” Another netizen inquired with Vera telling him, “Your father is, go ask him.”
“How come you have a very dark baby,” read another comment and Vera said, “Ask you father why me and you are dark babies.”
Several others came to the minor’s defence calling out haters for being racists.
“Asia is so pretty,nowadays melanin is in the in thing,you see Davido left bleached Nigerian and chose natural Chioma black beauty,we should stop this colorism in Kenya and Africa being yellow is not always beautiful,” one wrote.
