Mimi Mars and Diamond Platnumz raised eyebrows when they were seen enjoying a swim together like couples.
A video of the two taking a dip together in a swimming pool went viral sparking speculations they are dating or at least smashing.
Speaking during an interview with Millard Ayo, Mimi Mars denied Diamond and her had a ‘thing’ going on.
Vanessa Mdee’s younger sister claimed that she was just swimming with Diamond because she was at his house for a ‘project’.
“It just happened that I was there for a work project,” she said.
Diamond confirmed he had invited Mimi Mars to his palatial home in Dar where the two were spotted having fun times in the pool.
Mimi Mars also offered an apology to Tanzanian men for saying she cannot date them or any prominent man for that matter.
“I apologize to Tanzanians for saying I cannot date their men. I also take back my words that I cannot date a famous person.
“It’s better to date someone who is in the same industry. Dating someone who is not in the same industry is hard because the person doesn’t understand you.
“My previous relationships broke because I dated people who couldn’t understand me. I had to keep explaining and defending myself and it was tiring,” she said.
