Terryanne Chebet was unceremoniously fired from Citizen TV after years of working at the station.
Chebet was sacked from Royal Media Service (RMS) on 26 October 2016 as part of the company’s effort to downsize the workforce.
She was among dozens of employees who were retrenched as RMS reduced its workforce in a bid to cut costs of operations.
Fast forward to January 2023, Chebet has now confirmed joining CNBC Africa.
Terryanne makes a return to CNBC Africa as she previously worked for the media house between 2007 and 2010 as a reporter and a producer, before joining Citizen TV.
At CNBC African, Terryanne will be focusing on local business within Kenya and Africa. This role includes hosting and conducting business interviews.
The mother of two reported to work this week.
