Jalang’o and Bahati have sailed through party nominations as Jaguar and MC Jessy flopped causing them to cry foul.
UDA conducted national nominations on April 14th, the exercise didn’t take place in Starehe after the nomination was marred by violence.
The party resorted to using opinion polls in Starehe its candidates. Jaguar lost to Simon Mbugua in the exercise which was conducted on April 21st.
The Starehe MP however cried foul insisting that the party rigged him out and handed his rival the nomination certificate.
UDA didn’t hold nominations in Meru county, the party chose its candidates through a consensus and that’s how MC Jessy lost the party’s ticket to vie for South Imenti MP.
Deputy president William Ruto on Wednesday April 13th announced that the comedian had resolved not to go for the seat and instead assumed a role in the Kenya Kwanza presidential campaign secretariat after meeting Jessy and his rival.
However the comedian later announced he would vie as an independent candidate, he claimed in an interview on Citizen TV that he was coerced to forego MP bid.
Bahati had an early way landing Jubilee party ticket to vie for Mathare seat, the singer was handed direct party nomination as the party didn’t hold primaries.

Jalang’o fought his way to victory in ODM primaries, the comedian trounced his competitors to bag ODM ticket to contest for Langata parliamentary seat in August 9th general election.
