Stevo Simple Boy opened up for the first time about his bold demand for Ksh20 million from Bongo Fleva superstar Diamond Platnumz for a potential collaboration.
The “Freshi Barida” star explained that his request stems from a sense of gratitude and fairness, asserting that Kenyans have significantly contributed to Diamond’s rise to fame.
“Ni kweli nilisema hivyo kwa sababu ukiangalia sisi kama Wakenya, tumesapoti Diamond mpaka mahali amefika. Kwa nini yeye asirudishe mkono afanye kolabo na msanii wa Kenya?” Stevo stated in a candid interview with K24 TV.
Stevo’s comments ignited a whirlwind of reactions, even causing a stir among Tanzanian media outlets.
He revealed that many journalists from across the border reached out to him for clarification on his bold stance.
“Media za Tanzania zilinipigia, wakisema stevo umefanya jambo la maana sababu tunaona kazi yako huko Kenya, pia wakasema Diamond ana kila haki ya kutoa sh20m ndio nimpe kolabo,” he said.
Just two weeks ago, Stevo made headlines when he insisted that “without Ksh20 million, there is no collaboration,” directly addressing Diamond in an Instagram message.
“Diamond, ulinitumia meseji kwenye Instagram ukisema unataka collabo, lakini usipokohoa Ksh20 milioni, hakuna deal,” he declared without hesitation.
As the conversation continues to heat up, fans are left wondering how this unexpected demand will affect potential collaborations in East Africa’s vibrant music scene.
Will Diamond Platnumz respond to Stevo’s bold claim? The anticipation is palpable!
