Size 8 is only dropping her first gospel album nearly 10 years after she switched from secular industry, why did she take that long?
Size 8 ditched her prosperous secular career in 2012 shortly after she got married to DJ Mo.
After crossing over to gospel industry, Size 8 instructed media houses not to play her secular songs and also gave out some of her possessions.
“When I started in the secular world I had to let go of a lot of things because I didn’t get them from the right channel. So I was given a test to see if I will let got those things and follow Christ. The book of Mark says whatever you leave behind to follow Christ you get 100%… So everything that came with Size 8 I had to let go… I took my car, log book, keys and called someone and told them ‘kujia gari sahii, log book na keys before I change my mind… The funny thing the only thing I did hold on to was the money but it went all with my moms’ treatment. I wished I had taken it to some children’s home maybe I wouldn’t have gone through what I had to,” Size 8 said.
As a gospel musicians, Size 8 experienced several challenges – marriage, motherhood, sickness etc.
Size 8 highlighted the challenges that she endured as she announced the release her first gospel album in nearly 10 years in salvation.

???My 1st Album release ever since I began singing God is faithful I’ve faced alot of challenges woi especially sickness and its been difficult to accomplish alot but God’s word says In our weakest moments His strength is made perfect. So we boast in our weakness so that Jesus Christ power is seen in us………… A huge thank you to the team working behind this project. God has send me helpers from right and centre,” wrote Size 8.
