Many people wouldn’t even have known Size 8 launched a new album were it not for the drama that Ringtone caused.
Drama ensued at the Panari Hotel in Nairobi where Size 8 was launching her new album after Ringtone and DJ Mo locked horns and nearly descended into an ugly fist fight.
DJ Mo had Ringtone thrown out of the facility for slamming Size 8 who chased him from the pulpit while dedicating her album to God together with other pastors.
Days after the Sunday February 13th drama at Panari hotel, Ringtone apologized for the commotion he caused, which was unlike him because he has caused many dramas but never apologized.
“I want to beg Kenyans for forgiveness for what happened on Sunday. We have really embarrassed the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I look at the videos that you guys have posted, people have started hating Christianity, because of what happened.
“Please Kenyans, find it in your heart to forgive me. My pastor even called me and he is not happy with what transpired,” Ringtone said.
On Wednesday February 16th, Size 8 also announced that she had forgiven Ringtone for causing fracas during her ‘Gospel Anthem’ album launch.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Citizen’s Mambo Mseto, Size 8 explained that she did not want to divert the blessings she had already received during the successful launch.
She stated that DJ Mo put a lot of effort to ensure the success of the album launch and as such she didn’t want any drama overshadowing the main focus of the function.
“Iikuwa saa ya kudedicate album, sikuwa nataka mchezo wakati wa annointing, nikamwambia tafadhali ndugu yangu nakuomba ushuke stage, akakasirika sababu ya kuambiwa ashuke stage. Ata nilimsamehea nikasema yale Mungu ametenda sikutaka ku-divert glory,” said Size 8.
Asked if the whole drama was just a publicity stunt to promote her new album, Size 8 denied ever planning the chaos that was witnessed.
Size 8 noted that she was disappointed by the fact that the incident brought rise to accusations that the Muraya family was clout-chasing in order to promote the new album.
