Sipangwingwi Hit Makers Split By Conflict Of Interest As One Supports Raila While Other Endorses Ruto

Raila Odinga and William Ruto have caused disharmony among Sipangwingwi hit makers as they have been forced to pledge allegiance to the two rival political faction.

Sipangwingwi hit song is a collaboration, Exray Taniua featured Trio Mio and Ssaru to compose the club banger which has since attracted the attention of political class.

The song has garnered over a million views on YouTube and on TikTok, 50,600 videos have been done with the song’s chorus as the background — making it one of the trending songs on TikTok.

Sipangwingwi, an expression Exray corrupted from what would have been “huwa sipangwi (no one makes plans for me)” in proper Swahili, is now firmly part of political talk, same as it is being used in everyday conversations and social media posts.

Trio Mio, whose real name is real name Mario Kasela, is supporting Raila. He performed at Azimio la Umoja mega rally at Kasarani on December 10th.

Before the event at Kasarani, Mio – who is a high school student – took to social media to urge Kenyans to turn up in large numbers to attend Azimio la Umoja mega rally.

Days after Mio’s endorsement of Raila, Ruto’s camp was quick to reach out to Exray Taniua (real name Tony Kinyanjui) to seek his endorsement for the DP.

Exray visited Ruto at his official residence in Karen and posed for photos together.

“FINALLY I HAVE MET THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT@williamsamoeiruto @His residence Karen Nairobi
AM VERY GREATFULL TO GOD??, #HATUPANGWINGWI
??? #taniuamovement,” Exray wrote.
