Kenyan music band Les Wanyika has come out to blast Sauti Sol for sampling their song without their knowledge and permission.

Les Wanyika vocalist Sijali Salim Zuwa said in a recent interview that the band was in shock to find out that Sauti Sol sampled the ‘Sina Makosa’ hit in their viral tune, ‘Suzanna’.

“They have sampled many of our songs but never got any permission from us,” Sijali Salum Zuwa one of the band members said told Mpasho.

He added that Sauti Sol has never paid Les Wanyika band a dime for sampling their songs.

“We never received any payment from any artists who sampled our songs, but we have decided to make a follow-up so that we also get our share from them.”

Les Wanyika band was speaking at a press conference hosted at a Nairobi hotel where they announced their comeback which is why they plan on following up on their sampled songs.
