Mugithi artiste and police officer Samidoh has ignited debate online with his recent comments regarding men’s perceived deceitfulness in romantic relationships.
Taking to his social media platforms, Samidoh shared a statement that seemed to defend the actions of men who cheat, stirring up reactions from fans and critics alike.
In a post that appears to advocate for male behavior in relationships, Samidoh suggested that it is normal for men to engage in infidelity even when they profess to love their partners.
He stated that a man’s tendency to lie is often motivated by a desire to protect his partner’s feelings.
“A man who loves you will always lie to you because he cares about your feelings. He would rather lie to you than hurt your feelings,” Samidoh said, prompting a mix of support and backlash from the public.
The artiste’s tumultuous romantic life has kept him in the media spotlight in recent years.
The controversy began in 2021 when he publicly apologized to his wife, Edday Nderitu, after admitting to infidelity and fathering a child with fellow public figure Karen Nyamu.
The situation escalated when he later reconciled with Nyamu, adding a second child to the mix, which ultimately led to Edday Nderitu feeling betrayed and voicing her discontent.
Following these events, Samidoh controversially announced his intention to withdraw from his 15-year marriage, citing his unwillingness to raise his three sons in a polygamous setting.
This decision prompted Nderitu to relocate with their children to the United States, firmly establishing boundaries to prevent Samidoh from interacting with them.
However, recent actions of Samidoh visiting his family in the U.S. and reestablishing contact with his sons have raised eyebrows and reignited discussions about his commitment to family and relationships.
