Video of Samidoh introducing Karen Nyamu to his family members has set tongues wagging.
The Mugiithi musician on Wednesday travelled to Nakuru to attend his nephew Geoffrey Mwathi’s funeral.
In a video that has since gone viral, the musician is heard telling a gathering at a funeral to allow ‘mama Wairimu ‘ to come and say hi.
“Mother to Wairimu come and greet people before we return the microphone to the (MC) Master of Ceremony,” says Samidoh in vernacular.
“Praise God! Wave at me. My name is Karen Njeri and I am a Senator in this country,” Nyamu responded.
Samidoh’s wife Edday Nderitu was nowhere to be seen during the funeral service.
It was the first time Samidoh and Karen Nyamu were seen in public after Edday spoke about her troubled marriage with the singer.
Through her social media platforms, Edday, who has three kids with Samidoh, described the last three years of her marriage with Samidoh as ‘painful’.
She narrated how she’d endured pain and humiliation in her marriage but her silence had been taken for granted.
“I have helped you nature your talent and supported you through it all, but one thing I have said to you and I am saying here again I will not raise my kids in a polygamy family, especially with a woman who is older than me by more than 10 years, has no morals and zero respect to my family,” she said.
Edday narrated her pain after Karen Nyamu and Samidoh jointly attended a burial in Murang’a county for DP Gachagua’s sister-in-law.
