The couple had their dinner at around 7.00 pm and decided to retire to bed early that day so that they would be well-rested and go to work early on Wednesday.

However, their peaceful sleep was interrupted by the unwelcome guests.

The three robbers broke into their house in the wee hours of the night looking for anything expensive to grab.

Even after taking jewellery and cash from the couple’s bedroom, they were not satisfied with their loot.

They then grabbed Njoki, tore her nightgown in front of Kamwana and held her down as each of the robbers took their turn to rape her.
