Dancehall artist KRG The Don has reacted to reports of being arrested while in Malindi.
The false reports were published by pseudo Twitter account bearing Citizen TV name.
In the report, it was alleged that KRG was arrested in Malindi after being found with 2kgs of bhang(marijuana).
The artist has however laughed off the claims saying that he has not been to Malindi this year.
“Why would someone write something like this about me surely?(laughing emojis) FYI I haven’t been in Malindi and I don’t smoke weed,” KRG said on Instagram.
He also addressed claims of being hospitalized after using viagra.
“Mimi bado ni kijana bado niko na nguvu,” he said.
The pseudo Twitter account has been publishing fake and misleading stories recently, after the original account of Citizen TV lost its verification.
The Royal Media Owned TV station has been forced to distance itself from fake account multiple times.
Citizen TV’s is among those who were affected by the removal of blue badge by Twitter. To get the badge back, they have to pay a subscription fee.
Some of the celebrities and organization that have lost the badge have however vowed not to pay for the subscription.
Twitter’s old regime introduced the verification mark so as to help its users distinguish accounts of public interest.
